The Sentier des cimes (Path of the Peaks) is built on the former site of a heritage fish farm near Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré and Mont Blanc in the Laurentians north of Montreal.
The highlight of the Laurentian Peaks Trail, which opened in July 2022, is its 40-meter high panoramic tower, the equivalent of a dozen stories. The tower is characterized by the installation of a net in its center for the most daring. At the top, you have a view of the magnificent landscapes typical of the Laurentians, including Mont Blanc and Mont Tremblant in the distance. The trail offers a one kilometer long forest trail that starts at the Welcome Center.
The site is secured by a Maple Armor FW106S series networked fire alarm system, the first control panel of which handles the fire safety of the building at the Welcome Centre. There is also a second control panel located at the base of the 40-meter high Peak Tower that provides fire detection for the electrical room and audible fire signals throughout the tower itself.
