Changing the fire alarm system of Henry Leland House, Kamloops, BC

The Henry Leland House in Kamloops, BC provides a safe and affordable place to live for marginalized Kamloops residents with a history of homelessness and addiction. In partnership with the Interior Health Authority, they offer programs with the appropriate support staff to assist the residents of the building with basic life skills.

The Henry Leland House was running into issues with their existing 30-year-old panel. Facing constant intermittent troubles, their system had truly become a nuisance to the owner and operator. As such, they reached out to our partners at Phoenix Fire and requested an upgrade.

Installed over a two-day period by two fire alarm technicians, their new alarm system now includes Maple Armor’s FW106 fire alarm control panel, the FW511 smoke detector, the FW521 heat detector, the FW721 manual station, the FW962 Horn/Strobes. The system also required Maple Armor’s FW811 Input module, FW831 Relay Module, and the FW851 Isolator Module.

The fire alarm installation was completed without any issues or delays and the client was truly impressed with the installation’s execution and rapidity. Furthermore, we’ve received some great feedback from the electrical contractor who was grateful for the larger cabinet and modular features of our control panel.
