Job Description

Maple Armor is a growing, manufacturing, forward-thinking company in search of a full-time/permanent Marketing Coordinator. This is a salaried position located at its head office in Brossard, Qc.

As Marketing Coordinator, you will be the lead for all that is marketing at Maple Armor and its client/partner base. Under the supervision of our Marketing Director, you will work on a wide variety of projects/events as well as assist in content creation for all assets including website, social media, brochures, training power points/webinars/lunch and learn, Mail Chimp campaigns, etc. and more.

We are looking for someone who can translate business and marketing objectives into great content that is clear, compelling, visually exciting, and engaging for a variety of marketing initiatives.

  • You will be an integral part of our Marketing team at Maple Armor lead by our Marketing Director.
  • The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for project management and the coordination and execution of various marketing activities for the company. This includes, but isn’t limited too, marketing event/conference coordination, email marketing, website maintenance, social media monitoring and content posting.
  • We will rely on you to collaborate with colleagues and clients/partners, brainstorm concepts, and effectively action on all initiatives we put forward.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must: we sometimes deal with last-minute requests – so the ability to manage your work effectively, juggling multiple projects and varying deadlines is key to this position.
Responsabilities
  • Proactively interact to assess business needs
  • Coordinate with vendors to produce various marketing materials/assets.
  • Act as a coordinator for projects such as website management, social media, events/conferences, e-commerce, etc.
  • Assist and coordinate with our graphic designer in the production of visual materials and media used by the company and its clients/partners.
  • Assist and coordinate with our graphic designer on concepts, graphics and layouts for our corporate website, social media channels, webinars, lunch and learn sessions, events, sales enablement materials and visuals used in all company or client marketing activities.
  • Create, edit and optimize content for all materials regarding advertising, branding and marketing.
  • Maintain and organize resources and reference files.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and liaise with clients/partners/company colleagues as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing marketing and advertising campaigns/plans.
  • Support the development of marketing projects and online marketing strategies.
  • Execute marketing plans, campaigns, and strategies within the established budget.
  • Provide ideas and recommendations to help optimize marketing strategies.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • College or University degree is an asset OR acceptable/demonstrated experience
  • Marketing experience /knowledge is a must
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position
  • Fluently Bilingual is a must. French/English – Written/Oral
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite 365
  • Experience monitoring/coordinating content on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deliver projects on time in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Strong relationship building skills using tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision and direction, as well as being a team player!

The primary responsibility of the BDM is to be the technical/electronic lead for its territory’s fire alarm projects. The BDM will be in contact with a team of multidisciplinary Product Development and Electronic Engineers located in Montreal and will be responsible for the overall development and system integration activities for electrical engineers, agents, and electrical distributors.

This position is Remote but located in the Maritime Region to facilitate consistent client facing meetings/visits and ensure sales growth and quarterly objectives are met for this region.

Technician – Fire Alarm Systems

Brossard (Montreal), Quebec

Job Description

Maple Armor, founded in 2011, is a manufacturer and supplier of UL/ULC/FM listed intelligent fire alarm and detection systems serving the Americas market with primary focus on North America. We have now opened our brand new 80,000 square foot facility in Brossard Quebec, nearby Montreal, which houses its Research & Development team and quality control labs for multiple product lines to be produced at this facility.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced technician who has worked with fire alarm systems for several years.

  • Perform Rack-up, Programming, Verification and Inspection of fire alarm systems, access control and intercom systems, along with other fire protection equipment
  • Perform inspections and service on Maple Armor and non Maple Armor product
  • Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner
  • Provide technical support to customers as needed
  • Provide operational training to end-users
  • Ensure our customers and end-users have a positive experience working with Maple Armor
  • Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals
Responsabilities
  • Technicians shall have 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industry
  • Electronics diploma or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification
  • Technicians shall have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification
  • Fluent in English and French (verbal and written).
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
    Possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license (class 5).
Education, Skills and Experience
  • Technicians shall have 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industry
  • Electronics diploma or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification
  • Technicians shall have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification
  • Fluent in English and French (verbal and written).
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (Class G)
