We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing team in developing and managing marketing programs, supporting business objectives, managing and generating lead acquisitions, fostering customer retention, executing business development strategies, providing sales support, and growing brand recognition and awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and manage the marketing strategy to achieve the company’s objectives.
  • Responsible for all marketing project management including preparing and adhering to allocated marketing budget.
  • Develop and manage the creative process for all marketing materials, consistent with Maple Armor’s corporate image and identity, including print and digital marketing.

Requirements:

Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers’ needs and requirements by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

We are looking for a Firmware Architect with a background in software development for products, design and code review, devices/system interaction and troubleshooting. The Firmware Architect will be responsible for application design and development for fire alarm control panels and will be involved in all aspects of the system software development process (concept, design, reviews, coding, and validation).

Responsibilities:

  • Define and support the design and development of embedded firmware, PC, and Web-based applications for the Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Implement and adhere to software development methodologies and continuous integration as well as implement and maintain software versioning and revision control.
  • Set quantifiable objectives that encapsulate quality attributes of applications and products.
  • Identify, design, and develop software monitoring test tools for fire alarm panels.

The Validation Engineer will be responsible for functional and performance validation and verification of our fire alarm products – new product Development and/or Sustenance products. They will also be responsible for developing test cases based on product design specifications, creating and executing test plans, and report result as per our standard policy and procedures. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the validation and verification testing for the fire alarm systems and peripheral devices. 
  • Write and execute test cases that conform to the technical and functional specifications for Firmware and Software applications. 
  • Contribute to test planning and test case reviews as well as maintain test and defect management tools to document and track product defects. 
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive set of test cases for fire alarm systems domain products and enhancements while adhering to the Automation Framework for Fire/Control Systems
  • Own and drive the execution end to end by learning and implemented appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long-term goals of the company as well as contribute new ideas for product and process improvements. 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Control, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field is required (Master’s degree in these disciplines an asset).
  • At least 5 years of product validation experience (previous experience in fire safety industry with UL/ULC norms knowledge an asset).

Position summary & objectives:

The primary responsibility of Business Development Manager is to be the overall technical/electronic lead in fire alarm projects for Control Panels and peripherals, for the territory of South America. He will be in contact with a team of multidisciplinary product development electronic engineers remotely located in Montreal) and be responsible for overall electrical engineers, agents, and electrical distributor development and system integration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project outline through design requirements and specifications to meet engineers needs.
  • Develop and analyze electrical design concepts.
  • Home-based office located in Mexico area and will be required to visit customers on a regular basis to ensure sales growth.
  • Ensure electrical engineer designs meet our product requirements. (Functional, cost, quality,safety and reliability.)
  • Provide proper documentation and details to customers.
  • Support installers in their installation needs: programming, suggestions and demonstrate benefits of using Maple Armor brand.

Qualifications / experience / education:

  • Experience in fire alarm sales and electrical project design is a must.
  • Significant experience in security product is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience and planning in leading project and meeting timelines.
  • Comfortable leading through various product problem solving.
  • Must be a creative thinker with high initiative.
  • Must be able to help our South America customers to develop business in their area.
  • Demonstrated experience in fire alarm engineering design. (Read electrical drawing, fixing electrical design problems.)
  • Demonstrated technical coaching and mentoring skills.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in sales, electrical jobs design and coach.
  • Travel required is approximately 40 percent of the time.
